Information Please

Upon entering our office, our wonderful assistant, Donna, will  warmly welcome you as if you were already a member of our family. That's just how we are here. We genuinely care.  If you haven't already completed your New Patient Forms at home, she'll request that you complete them at this time.  This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.

Consultation

Next, you will have a "get to know each other" consultation with Dr. Michael Willis to discuss your health-related problems, your concerns, and potential care options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Willis to learn more about you, your condition and  expectations to determine how chiropractic care can help you meet your goals and for you to get to know him. We want you to feel that you are in good hands.

Examination

After your consultation, Dr. Willis will perform a complete chiropractic examination utilizing the latest in Surface Electromyographic technology to assess the function of your core muscles, Thermal Scanning to measure how your nerve system is functioning and a Heart Rate Variability Study that will give us information on how you are handling stress and its impact on your internal organs, like your heart.   As he proceeds, Dr.Willis will explain exactly what he is doing and why it's important, every step of the way.

X-Ray Studies

Depending on your specific condition, we may need to acquire X-rays of you as well. If we do, we will send you out to a facility either close to our office or one closest to you.  In either case, be assured that it will be one that we already have a great professional relationship to ensure that we get the specific X-rays we need with minimal exposure and cost. 

Report of Findings

Once all this information has been collected and reviewed by Dr. Willis, he will provide you with a detailed report of his findings and answer any questions including:

1. How can you help me?
2. How often do I need to come in?
3. What  will  my treatment  cost?

After reviewing your health history,  goals, and examining your spine with you, Dr. Willis will discuss recommendations and notify you if  your condition  requires care with other providers.   Dr. Willis will  provide the best  corrective care and  wellness program to help you meet your goals.

Corrective Care Program

 At the conclusion of your Report of Findings, you can choose to begin with your first Corrective Care Adjustment. Your time with Dr. Willis is always interactive. You are encouraged to express any concerns or ask any questions throughout your program; it's part of the process of healing.

Wellness Program

As your program progresses, Dr. Willis will suggest a  wellness program  to incorporate outside of treatment.  While we focus on the cause of your discomfort and pain, we do address it.  If you are in pain when you first come into our office we may suggest the use of ice or heat application. We'll tell you which, how often and for how long. We may modify certain activities or recommend positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches to help you along the way.  If you desire,  our LifeWorks Wellness Team will work with you also to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle.  Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a  customized wellness plan.  The purpose  of our wellness program is for  you  to achieve good spinal alignment, have a  healthy diet, reasonable exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
